Brief of Project -

Set in Koramangala, Bangalore with a beautiful park view to the north of the building, this is a residential project with the main duplex on the 3rd and 4th floor and studio apartments in the ground, 1st and 2nd floor designed for rental purposes.

The living room of the duplex opens into the beautiful park by means of an airy bay window bringing in the vistas. With pristine whites, wood tones and pops of colour, the design language intents to bring a warm and spacious feel to the spaces.

Designed on a 30-40 plot, the spaces were maximised with open planning, double heights and carefully curated nooks.

The living room has an attached balcony space which is framed with French windows to enhance the light quality while adding pattern play.

About the Firm :

Aanai Design Studio is a spatial design studio with a core focus on custom furniture design & crafting. It was started by Gayathri Padmam Haridas,an architect with a degree from Mumbai University.

After working with reputed architecture firms in Calicut & Bangalore, she started Aanai to bridge the gap between built spaces and furniture within these spaces which were mostly store bought and force fit. Aanai believes in building a meaningful relationship between the user, the space and the products within the space. It follows a collaborative approach with Architects & Designers to craft furniture that works specifically for their designed spaces.
