PROJECT BRIEF

This small, single-family house of merely 1450 square feet is a tiny cell that composes of contemporary style with mordern technologies. The client wants big spaces in tiny house. Narvekar’s house does not only accommodate people, but also their spirit and dreams. Though this house is tiny, it provides a unique feeling of serenity over the hustle and bustle of the metropolis.

IDEA

Over the past decade, tiny houses and micro-apartments have gained an immense amount of popularity as affordable and environmentally-friendly options for modern living. With compact architecture growing increasingly preferable or necessary for many, spatially-conscious furniture design is becoming increasingly relevant as well. One of the most critical areas for space-saving, where the multitude of functions and necessity of storage can make it difficult at times to make efficient use of space.

DESIGN DETAILS:

The design of a space, including its furniture, must reflect its intended use and function, which involves an understanding not only of good design, but also of the social and cultural influences present in any given location. Furniture that is stylish, yet timeless and functional, should be the goal for a long-lasting and flexible design. Well-designed furniture can adapt to multiple uses and types of spaces over time, as well as different locations and cultures

Selection of furniture, finishes, and unique art and design objects played a large part in maximizing natural light, visual inter connectivity, and playfulness throughout.

The space-saving table is one of the most popular methods of increasing kitchen efficiency, with variations that can include folding parts, and transformable functions. One of the most iconic examples of this typology is the drop-leaf table. With foldable ‘leaves’ on side, users can transform the table when not in use to increase limited walking space.

Where floor space is minimal, residential designers and homeowners can conserve space by making full use of the walls to store necessary kitchen tools and utensils. Altogether, there exist a variety of methods to improve the efficiency of small kitchen spaces, ranging from space-saving tables to improved multi-functional storage.

SPATIAL ORGANISATION:

In Narvekar’s house with minimal space, you’re able to enjoy quality over quantity. This tiny house offers and outdoor living spaces that allow the home to feel larger than it actually is. The unique combination of colour and material play an very important role in this house.

The renovation started, aiming to reorganize the vital functions of daily life within the limited space. Openings, colors and lightings, are manipulated to make the tiny interior feel much more spacious
